Don’t Miss Your Moment!
Updated: Nov 24, 2021
With so much going on around us in our World today it is very important that we get to the HEART of the matter! Throughout our Lives God has demonstrated His Desire to Communicate with Us.
It is so difficult sometimes to hear Him with so much noise around us. It’s difficult to Even Know What God is Saying To Us at times.
Here is How God Speaks:
First, God Speaks to us through Creation.
Psalm 19:1-4 Tells us how “The Heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.” When we look carefully at the things He has made, we see His beauty, creativity, power, ingenuity, knowledge, organization, purpose, wisdom, mercy, and grace.
Because God made the whole universe, it makes sense that by observing His work we could learn a lot about Him. The Bible argues that a design as magnificent as creation leads us to believe in a GRAND DESIGNER. So much so, the Bible says we have no excuse not to see the fingerprints of God in His work.
For since the creation of the World, God’s invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
Second, God speaks to us is through other people: We see examples of people hearing the words of God through a human voice, for instance Jethro gives his son-in-law, Moses , godly leadership wisdom in Exodus 18. Deborah tells an Israeli general named Barack that God wants him to attack their enemy in Judges 4. Samuel told Jesse that his son, David, will be the next King in I Samuel 16. And the list goes on. This is one of the reasons it is so important for us to be part of a Church, to connect with others.
The Bible tells us God puts different people with different gifts in each church body for the expressed effort of together hearing God’s voice. As you talk and pray with others about an issue you are facing, God will often use their words to tell you how to handle it and move forward, seeking Christian counsel is often a wise way to hear from God.
Third, God communicates with us is through circumstances. The enemy uses circumstances to distract us. This is called a diversion tactic, your enemy tries to put up a smoke screen so you cannot clearly see his plot. But there is no question that God will arrange circumstances in such a way as to give us direction.
As when Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia. As Paul traveled, he saw God’s Spirit behind his circumstances. We saw that when Paul’s circumstances would change his plans, he would pray and open himself up to what God wanted to tell him - A great model for us to practice.
Fourth, God Speaks is through Divine means. He spoke to Moses through a burning bush in Exodus 3. God may speak to us in dreams and visions. It is most important for us to remember, regardless of the means, God indeed speaks to us. And whatever God is saying to us specifically should be met with a commitment on our part to listen and obey.

He said in His word: “To him who has ears to hear, let him/her hear.” In other words, don’t just listen to what God has to say; Hear Him! Even in disastrous situations like a 2020 Corona Virus Pandemic God Speaks. Are we listening and are we called to action to obey.
Does any of what I said today surprise you? Do you feel like God speaks to people as clearly today as He did in biblical times? How has God spoken to you? What might keep you from really wanting to hear what God wants to say to you?
Well, Write a prayer asking God to speak to you, and then sit quietly and listen. Then write down anything that comes to your mind.
